Accessibility statement

Partially conformant. This website is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA: some parts don't fully meet the standard yet. They are listed below.

Boyd wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

How accessible this website is

You can use this website with a keyboard alone: every link, button, menu and form can be reached and used without a mouse, and you can always see where you are. Text is easy to read against its background, including text over photos. Pages work on phones, tablets and computers, and the forms and product filters still work if JavaScript is turned off. If your device is set to reduce motion, nothing on the site moves on its own.

Parts of this website that aren’t fully accessible

  • Photo captions in articles. Where a guide or article has a photo with a caption, the caption appears as an ordinary line of text under the photo. Screen readers don’t announce it as that photo’s caption.

  • Technical downloads. CAD and BIM files in our specifier pack are drawings for design software and can’t be read by a screen reader. If you need information from them in another form, contact us and we’ll help.

  • Office maps. The maps on our Contact us page come from Google Maps, and we can’t change how they work. Each office’s address is written out on the page, with a Get directions link.

Moving logo strip

The home page shows a strip of company logos (“Trusted by”) that scrolls slowly. It stops while you hover over it with a mouse, and it stands still if your device is set to reduce motion. Screen readers read each company’s name once. The logos aren’t links, so you won’t tab into the strip. It has no pause button, so it doesn’t fully meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.2.2 (Pause, Stop, Hide). If it causes you a problem, please tell us.

How we tested this website

We checked the website in October 2026 while we built it. We used automated accessibility tests on every page type, moved through each page with a keyboard only, measured text contrast on the finished pages, and checked them at phone, tablet and computer sizes, with reduced motion and with JavaScript turned off.
